Enderby Bands join forces with The Blues and Royals.
Taking time out from their regular ceremonial duties at Buckingham Palace, The Band of the Blues and Royals are presenting a combined Concert and recruiting event in Leicester on the 17th October, when they will also be joined by the well-known Enderby Youth Brass Band, and the Enderby Wind Band.
The Blues and Royals Band provide the music for many State occasions, such as the Trooping of the Colour and the Changing of the Guard, as well as regularly touring in this country and abroad.
Their repertoire extends from Bach to the latest West End shows.
Enderby Youth Brass band have won many awards and are currently holders of the Blaby District Council Award for Outstanding Achievement.
They also recently had the honour of playing the fanfare at the start of the Special Olympics, at the Walkers Stadium.
The Wind Band was only established in 2005 but has gone from strength to strength, playing many sell-out concerts.
The venue for what promises to be a fantastic evening’s entertainment is St James the Greater Church on London Road, Leicester (opposite Victoria Park, satnav LE2 1NE).
The Concert starts at 7.30 pm on Saturday 17th October, and entry is free, although donations would be welcome.
