Wind Band Training Weekend

01 September 201810:00 - 14:00

Broughton Astley Village Hall

This October the Enderby Windband has been invited to play at the Wind Band Association Gala dinner
to be held as part of their 20th Annual Windband Festival event at Hothorpe Hall in Theddingworth.
As part of our preparation for the concert, part of our annual training weekend will be working on
some of the new music that will form part of that programme; though the weekend is not all about
the concert itself and will have a range of other interesting and challenging music to play.
We will be holding the event in Broughton Astley on the 1st and 2nd of September to a cost of £20 per
person which will include lunch and fish and chip style dinner on the Saturday.
This year as part of the weekend we will be welcoming the Enderby Apprentice Band to join us for the
first hour on the Saturday morning. Since its inception just over a year ago the apprentice band has
gone from strength to strength under the guidance of its MD Aaron Vogel and now the group regularly
form part of the Windband’s concert programme performing both at the EWB Christmas Concert last
year and at the spring concert in Newbold Verdon for the last two years.

Players are welcome to apply to play in either or both bands providing minimum playing standards
are met.
• Enderby Apprentice Band Beginner to Grade 5
• Enderby Windband Grade 5+

A full programme will be prepared and issued to players prior to the weekend, but as a guide please
